Recycling helps to save energy as well as preserving our limited resources. Recycling aluminum uses as little as 5% of the energy required by virgin production.

- Paper: newspapers, magazines, catalogs, junk mail & office paper, phone books.

Thin "cardboard" box (technically known as pasteboard, paperboard or boxboard) which includes cereal boxes, soda cartons, shoe boxes, the cardboard backing on pads of paper
- Cans: aluminum, steel, and tin
- Plastic (#1 through #7): includes bottles, bottle caps, tubs, utensils, containers
- Corrugated cardboard: corrugated cardboard boxes can be recycled by writing "RECYCLE" on them and placing next to a recycling bin. Please remove styrofoam, plastic bags, and other such packing materials as these items are not currently recyclable.
