Who’s eligible to use EV Charging Stations at ACC?
Anybody with an Electric Vehicle, ACC’s EV charging stations project is part of ARRA(American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) Grant "Charge Point America" project.
How much doe it cost to use the charging station?
Austin Energy charges $2/hr or $25/6months for all Austin charging stations. The subscription application can be found at the link below.
Round Rock campus will have the same $2/hr rate, but $25/6months option won’t be available at this location.
How can I pay ?
Making a toll free call to the 24/7 number on each charging station(mychargepoint.net or 1-888-758-4389), or signing up for a ChargePoint Network monthly access plan and obtaining a ChargePass™ smart card. Other future payment options include using any smart (RFID) credit/debit card to authorize a session or using a standard credit or debit card at a remote payment station (RPS) to pay for charging sessions.

How long will it take to charge the Electric Vehicle?
Depends on the type of vehicle, completely drained Nissan Leaf will take up to 8 hours with Level 2 charger, Chevy Volt will take less hours due to the smaller battery capacity.
I drove to one of the charging stations at ACC and it was occupied by a non-Electric Vehicle.
At ACC, both Electric Vehicles and ACC’s Green Cars(Permit required) can use these designated parking spaces, however there is a (4) hour time limit for these parking spaces. (4) parking spaces have the access to (2) charging stations at each location,
Do charging stations work with any electric vehicle?
The ChargePoint Networked Charging Stations at ACC will work with any electric vehicle on the market. There is an industry standard for Level II charging: the SAE J1772™ connector that all vehicles on the market will use. Even for older electric vehicles, charging at ChargePoint stations is still possible.
