-the only known Plecopteran species known from west Texas may no longer be present (Baumgardner & Bowles 2005)

-some specimens collected by Stewart et al. (1974) were originally reported as I. namata are probably this species; I. namata does not occur in Texas (Szczytko & Stewart 1977)
