State of Texas Vision Plan

Effective September 1, 2016, ACC employees may enroll in the new State of Texas Vision Plan provided by the Employees Retirement System of Texas.  The plan is administered by Superior Vision and provides coverage for eye exams, lenses, frames and contact lenses. Employees may elect this coverage for themselves only or they may also include their eligible dependents.  Employees pay a monthly premium for this plan.

The Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) has set the Plan Year 2018 Summer Enrollment period for July 9, 2017 - July 22, 2017 for ACC employees.

All ACC employees are covered under provisions of the Texas Workers’ Compensation Act. Any accident or illness caused while performing services for the College must be filed under Workers’ Compensation.

ERS administers the insurance programs in which ACC employees may enroll.  Most of the forms employees should use to make changes to their ERS insurance coverage can be found at the following link.  Additional coverage changes may also be made from the link below by login into "Access My Account" in the upper right corner of the ERS website.

Cost and Coverage Information

Eligible ACC retirees may continue their health insurance coverage through ERS.  Cost depends on whether the retiree and/or their covered dependents are eligible for Medicare, see the appropriate ERS rate sheet below.  In addition to health coverage, ERS qualified retirees may enroll in dental, optional life and AD&D coverage.

Aflac Supplemental Insurance Plans – The duck is back!

 After a several year hiatus, ACC will again offer Aflac supplemental insurance plans to eligible employees.  Aflac plans fill in the gaps of major medical coverage and pay directly to you above and beyond your regular medical insurance.  Eligible employees will be able to enroll during our Fall Enrollment period from October 9 through November 10, 2017.
