Interested in teaching for us?
If you are interested in teaching or substituting for Continuing Education courses, we would like to visit with you. Please download an application, attach a resume, and mail to the Alternative Teacher Certification office at 5930 Middle Fiskville Road, Austin, TX 78752. If we need your services, we will make an appointment to visit with you about possibilities. Please bring your driver’s license, social security card (for Federal documentation), and a void check (for Direct Deposit) to the interview.
We pay $30.00 per hour, and most courses take place on Saturdays and evenings. Occasionally, we have summer institutes taking place during the day. All of our courses are taught by hourly employees with no benefits except for happy students!

To teach courses for Childcare, you need a Bachelor’s degree with childcare expertise. For ParaEducator courses, we require that you have a Texas teaching certificate. For Teacher Certification courses, you must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher with a Texas teaching certificate and experience in the classroom.
