Curriculum Overview

Completion of the Video Game Development certificate program requires successfully completing twelve courses and a Capstone project. There are four required industry courses. Each student must have at least six courses in their area of specialization and one course from each of the other areas of specialization. Note - the Video Game Art course has 3D Modeling & Rendering I as a prerequisite. Students with 3D modelng experience using 3D Studio Max can challenge the prerequisite course. A major advantage of the ACC program is the completion of the Capstone project. The project will have students from each of the specialization areas. There will be a mentor to guide the team. The team will have scheduled project reviews with industry representatives.

To view individual course descriptions, select the highlighted specialization areas below.

MAJOR NOTE: With the institution of the three associate degree plans most of the continuing education courses will now be intergrated with the credit courses. In integrated courses there will be both credit and continuing education students in the classes. Here is a course number map displaying old and new course numbers.
