CPMT 2050 Linux + (48 hours)    
This course provides both instructor-led lectures and hands-on labs. The lectures cover the basic knowledge that is required to be a Linux System Administrator. The objective of this course is to teach computer professionals the essential information required for junior-level Linux system administration and to pass CompTIA’s Linux+ exam.

Prerequisite: General knowledge of computers and operating systems.

CPMT 1074 Red Hat Linux (48 hours)    
This course is based on the Red Hat Linux operating system. The goals of the course are to provide proficient knowledge of Red Hat Linux installation and configuration, system administration, network services, and security. Emphasis will be on Red Hat's specific configuration tools, as well as the functionality of Red Hat in the server/client relationship. The class is comprised of instructor led exercises, lectures, and hands-on labs. The objective of this course is to achieve competent skills in the administration of Red Hat Linux in the enterprise environment. This course prepares students for the Red Hat RHCE certification examination.

Prerequisite: Knowledge of computers, network services, TCP/IP, and administrative experience with UNIX or Linux operating systems.
