An ACC Google email address is assigned to all ACC students. ACC will send all official correspondence to this address. Instructions to set up your ACC Google email address defaults at: http://www.austincc.edu/google/. Students can update your email address defaults so that you will receive emails to your email address of choice . Students login to ACC Online Services to get initial login information.
The instructor will verify your enrollment and email students initial course procedures. Because the primary framework for instruction is the Internet, you must have convenient access to the Internet and your own email account. You will need these to use instructional materials, send email messages to the instructor, to participate in discussions, and to use the online library resources. If any of these are new to you, please familiarize yourself before you start the class.

Students, in the Microsoft MCTS.NET Framework with ASP.NET courses, will use the following for this distance learning course:
- Go To Training for interactive demostrations. The instructor will email students the Go To Training registration link. Students must email the Program Coordinator to ensure enrollment in the Go To Training session. Go To Training FAQs. Students should familiarize themselves with Go To Training prior to the start of the course.
- Books for the courses are available at O’Reilly Media or any online bookstore.
- Software for the course will be downloaded by the students from the DreamSpark web site. Students need to have Windows Live ID for to be able to access DreamSpark. A Windows Live ID can be created by going to- http://home.live.com/. Students need to register themselves by providing their names, birthdates and ACC-provided .edu email address. Students can download the software for the course once they have successfully verified themselves.
- Labs Exercises will be emailed to the students by the instructor.
Students, in the Microsoft MCITP Enterprise Administrator Server 2008 courses, will use the following for this distance learning course:

- MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit: Students order kits directly from Microsoft official distributor, O’Reilly Media or any online bookstore. See exam numbers above.
- LabSim Virtual Lab Software Students need to get promotion code from the Program Coordinator, then order directly from LabSim: Go to www.labsimonline.com enter the “Enter Promotion Code” box on the home page and press enter. Students, in the ITMT 1077 MCTS Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, Configuration, will use the following for this distance learning course:

- For the Labs Exercises, the instructor creates the VM, using Virtual Box, on which students can do the labs at home. The students can just download the VMs from the instructor's FTP server. Virtual box will run on PC or MAC and allow students to run windows server on their machine. Students install the virtual box and instructor will have a prepared VM that they can download and launch with virtual box. Virtual box is free. The instructor will provide guidance on all this.

- Books for the courses will be the Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC). Students can pick up their books at the ACC highland Business Center through the Program Coordinator..
