ITNW 9024: Oracle 11g Database Administrator Series (180 hours) consists of the courses below.

ITSW 1007 Introduction to Oracle 11g: SQL (60 hours)
This course prepares Oracle database administrators (DBA) to create an operational database and properly manage the various structures in an effective and efficient. The instructor-led lesson topics are reinforced with structured hands-on practices. Prepares students for the Oracle Certified exam #1Z0-051. Prerequisites: General computer knowledge including relational database concepts.

ITSW 1054 Oracle 11g Database Administration I (60 hours)
This course introduces students to data server technology. The class covers the concepts of both relational and object relational databases and the powerful SQL programming language. Demonstrations and hands-on practice reinforce the fundamental concepts. Prepares students for the Oracle Certified Associate exam #1Z0-052. Prerequisites: ITSE 1007 Introduction to Oracle 11g SQL.

ITSW 2037 Oracle 11g DBA Administration II (60 hours)
This course covers Oracle 10g flashback technology, configuring and using Recovery Manager, monitoring and managing storage, managing resources, monitoring and managing memory, dealing with database corruption, and automating the tasks with Scheduler. Demonstrations and hands-on practice reinforce the fundamental concepts to prepare the student for the Oracle Certified Professional Exam #1Z0-053. Prerequisites: ITSE 1054 Oracle 11g Database Administration I

Prerequisites: General computer knowledge including database concepts.

ITSW 2071 Oracle 11g RAC Administration (60 hours)
This course offers students an introduction to the general features and capabilities of Oracle Database 11g Release 1 for Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC). Students learn how to install and administer Oracle Clusterware, Real Application Clusters, and Automatic Storage Management. Students also learn how to administer their Database in a Real Application Clusters environment using Enterprise Manager Grid Control. Increase your efficiency by learning how to configure and use database services as well as the Load Balancing Advisory in a RAC environment. Learn how to add and remove nodes in clusters and how to patch both Oracle Clusterware and Real Application Clusters software in a rolling fashion.
This course counts toward the Hands-on course requirement for the following certifications

  • Oracle Database 10g: Real Application Clusters Administrator Certified Expert
