The Oracle 10g Web Application Developer Series participants will learn a top-down, systematic approach to database development using entity-relationship models, normalization, and relational database design. Using this approach, participants identify and define business information requirements and create initial database designs.

ITSE
1078 Introduction to Oracle 10g: SQL & PL/SQL (48 hours)
This course offers students an extensive introduction to data server
technology. The class covers the concepts of relational databases
and the powerful SQL and PL/SQL programming languages. Students are
taught to create and maintain database objects and to store, retrieve,
and manipulate data. In addition, students learn to create PL/SQL
blocks of application code that can be shared by multiple forms, reports,
and data management applications. Demonstrations and hands-on practice
reinforce the fundamental concepts. Prepares students for the Oracle
Certified exam #1Z0-007 or #1Z0-147. Prerequisites: General computer
knowledge including relational database concepts.
ITSE
1079 Oracle 10g Java Programming (48 hours)
This course teaches the concepts and essential elements of the Java
language. While learning Java, you will build applications using standard
Java technologies. The development environment used for this course
is Oracle JDeveloper 10g. In addition to coding in Java, you will
learn how to use the graphical development capabilities of JDeveloper
to aid application development. Prerequisites: ITSE 1078 Oracle 10G
SQL & PL/SQL or equivalent.
ITSE
1077 Oracle 10g JDeveloper (48 hours)
This course is designed for developers who will build J2EE applications
using the accelerated productivity of Oracle Application Development
Framework (ADF). You will learn how to build end-to-end applications
efficiently, including both the MVC-based client components and the
business services that are utilized by them. During the course, you
will use the visual editors and modelers in Oracle JDeveloper 10g
to design and build your ADF components. Prerequisites: ITSE 1079
