High Technology Institute - Technical Certification Programs
Security Certified Programs Certifications

Information security is today’s most critical requirement in IT networks. Security Certified Programs created certifications and curricula to develop and validate skills of computer and network security professional. The SCP courses and certifications are designed not just around knowledge-based theory, like so many others, rather around the actual technical skills required by practitioners.

ITSY 2070 Security Certified Programs SCP Series (96 hours)
The series provide training for the Tactical Perimeter Defense (TPD) class, the starting point with the Security Certified Program (SCP), and the Strategic Infrastructure Security (SIS) course which begins where Tactical Perimeter Defense ends.  The series provides network administrators with the additional hands on skills needed to protect their network from the inside out.   This series teaches prevention techniques and gives an understanding of risk analysis and security policy creation in a blended technology environment. The up-to-date security lessons and intense, hands-on labs bring a real world network security to training candidates. Series consists of  ITSY 2071 & ITSY 2072.

Prerequisite: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent knowledge/experience.

ITSY 2071 Tactical Perimeter Defense – SCNS Certification (48 hours)
The Tactical Perimeter Defense (TPD) class is the starting point with the Security Certified Program (SCP). TPD is a required pre-requisite for the SCNP and SCNA certifications. TPD focuses on the critical defensive technologies that are the foundation of securing network perimeters, such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and router security. This course prepares students to work with, and implement, real world security technology.

Prerequisite: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent knowledge/experience.

ITSY 2072 Strategic Infrastructure Security - SCNP Certification (48 hours)
The Strategic Infrastructure Security course begins where Tactical Perimeter Defense ends. The second SCP course leads to the Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP) certification. It provides network administrators with the additional hands on skills needed to protect their network from the inside out.   This course teaches prevention techniques and gives an understanding of risk analysis and security policy creation in a blended technology environment. The up-to-date security lessons and intense, hands-on labs bring a real world network security to training candidates.
