Participation in a VMware authorized training class is REQUIRED for VCP certification. Candidates who take the VCP exam without a class will NOT be certified or confirmed by VMware. Authorized courses are listed on the Education Services portal of this website. If a class is NOT listed there it is not authorized.

INEW 2073 VMware vSphere Install, Configure, Manage V5 (56 hours)    
This course focuses on installing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting VMware® vSphere™. It combines the content of the VMware vSphere 5: Install, Configure, Manage course with advanced tasks and skills for configuring a highly available and scalable virtual infrastructure. Upon completing this course, students can take the examination to qualify as a VMware Certified Professional.
Prerequisite: System administration experience on Microsoft Windows® or Linux® operating systems.

INEW 2070 VMware VCP Series (80 hours)    
This series provides training on install, configure, manage, deploy, secure, and analyze of VMware Infrastructure, which consists of VMware ESX Server and VMware VirtualCenter.  Upon completion of this course, students are prepared for the examination to become a VMware Certified Professional. Series consists of INEW 2071 & INEW 2072.
Prerequisite: System administration experience on Microsoft Windows® or Linux® operating systems.

INEW 2071 VMware Infrastructure: Install, Configure and Manage (40 hours)    
This course explores installation, configuration, and management of VMware Infrastructure, which consists of VMware ESX Server and VMware VirtualCenter.  Upon completion of this course, students are prepared for the examination to become a VMware Certified Professional.  Students who complete this course should enroll next in VMware Infrastructure: Deploy, Secure, and Analyze.
Prerequisite: System administration experience on Microsoft Windows® or Linux® operating systems.

INEW 2072 VMware Infrastructure: Deploy, Secure and Analyze (40 hours)    
This course, aimed at experienced VMware Infrastructure administrators, is a continuation of the VMware Infrastructure: Install and Configure course. Upon completion of this course, students are prepared for the examination to become a VMware Certified Professional. The course focuses on ESX rather than ESXi.
Prerequisite: Comfort with fundamental Linux commands (such as ls and cp) and a Linux text editor. INEW 2071 VMware Infrastructure: Install and Configure.
