Tests submitted by faculty for test administration must be within Faculty Guidelines For Use of ACC Academic Testing Centers.

What Your Students Need to Know:

  1. Procedures for Student Use of Academic Testing Centers
  2. Students must present ACC Photo ID each time to request a test.
  3. Your students must have the following information:
    1. Course Abbreviation + Course Number + Synonym Number + Section Number
    2. Instructor's Name
    3. Test Number (As documented on your test copies and Test Transmittal Form)
    4. Please tell your students the materials you have authorized for your test. For example, if only a non-programmable calculator is allowed, students will not be able to use a graphing calculator or similar technolgy.
    5. Students with unauthorized materials and/or cell phones while testing are in violation of Testing Center procedures and their testing privileges will be revoked, thus barring them from all ACC Academic Testing Centers.
    6. Please encourage your students to test prior to test deadline dates which will help them avoid possible wait lines.

Secure Online Testing

To minimize computer problems that can occur, please review the Secure Online Testing with Respondus Checklist and go to a testing center and deploy each test to ensure the correct test delivery for your students.

Emails

Please use Testing Center emails that are checked daily. Emails for Testing Center Supervisors are not checked in their absence.

Academic Testing Center Policies

Testing Center Procedural Changes effective Spring 2012 :

    • Retestng is available to student.  For paper pencil tests, a retest version must be indentified.  Students are allowed to retest only once per test.
    • Tests must be received in an Academic Testing Center (9) days before the last day of the semester.  Check for the current semester deadline at http://www.austincc.edu/testctr.
    • Faculty can request test scores via email  The Testing Center will only forward test scores to a valid ACC email account.
    • Batch scoring services are available for multiple choice tests taken in any ACC classroom course.
      • Instructors must use the red DigitalDesk Scanform D answer sheet which may be obtained from ACC General Stores or any campus Testing Center.
      • Allow 48 hours for processing.
      • For accurate results, professors must ensure that their students bubble in their ACC ID numbers correctly, all answers are bubbled in darkly, and there is only one response per test question.  Test questions with no or duplicate bubbled responses will count as incorrect answers.
    • Testing Center hours of operation have been extended starting Spring 2012.

Do you need to submit test materials to the Testing Center?  If yes, please complete the paper copy of the and send it with test copies to the Testing Centers where your students will be testing.
