All About Theresa Glenn
| I have been a member of the Austin Community College faculty since the summer of 2000. I bring to my courses 16 years of experience in corporate training, human communication, and adult education. As a professional trainer and course author I specialize in adapting effective communication skills to the corporate culture. Prior to joining the full time faculty at Austin Community College, I worked for the Texas State Auditor's Office where I oversaw the internal training department and the On-the-Job training program for new staff.
I have an undergraduate degree in Communication & Political Science from East Texas State University and a Masters Degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Texas. While working for the National Marrow Donor Program and Carter BloodCare in Dallas my focus on health communication grew. My interest in interpersonal communication skills and the business environment led to a publication in Communication Research Reports which focused on interpersonal relationships between nurses and physicians.
I've also received my Human Performance Improvement certification from University of Texas Continuing Education division. I have presented my work to the National State Auditor's Association, American Red Cross, Leukemia Society of America, Texas Education Agency, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Board of Nursing, Department of Health & Human Services, Office of Inspector General and other state organizations.
