Transfer Guide

Transfer guides list lower division courses students may take at Austin Community College that transfer to a four-year institution for a specific major or degree.  Some guides list the entire first two years of coursework, while other guides list a limited number of courses available for a major or degree.

2+2 Guide

2+2 guides are similar to a degree plan. They identify required lower-division courses a student can take at Austin Community College and upper division courses to take at the four-year institution in order to fulfill requirements for a specific major or bachelor's degree.  When 2+2 guides are carefully followed, students can often complete their bachelor’s degree in four years.

Note: Students must meet all course prerequisites before taking the course at Austin Community College. The ACC catalog lists prerequisites in the course descriptions.

Using the guides

Guides that were developed through an ACC articulation agreement will be so noted.  Guides not officially articulated with ACC are often developed by the 4-year schools and are an excellent resource.  Nevertheless, it is always recommended that you verify the transferability of ACC coursework with the institution to which you intend to transfer.

If you do not find a guide for your intended school or major, please consult with an advisor for transfer options.
