Graduates
of our Travel & Tourism programs are working in Austin and other
parts of the world. They are employed at travel agencies, airlines,
cruise lines, ground operators and tour wholesalers. They make air
reservations, book tours, calculate fares, and issue airline tickets
from short day trips to complex journeys around the world.
They
also give professional advice to travelers with regards to where to go
sightseeing, engage in sports, what to eat and drink, and recommend the
best buys in the area. They are knowledgeable about health, customs and
immigration requirements of a country, foreign exchange and identify
languages and social norms.
Tourism
is now the world's largest and fastest growing industry. A career in
tourism can open the entire world to you. All the skills you learn at
ACC are transferable across North America, into Europe and the emerging
destinations in the Asia-Pacific region.
This
is an industry that will enable you to learn about and interact with
people from a wide variety of cultures and lifestyles throughout the
globe. A great advantage to this industry is that it uses the same
standards all over the world. The professional education provided by
ACC has been designed to help people of diverse backgrounds learn these
new skills and advance existing careers.

And the benefits? In what other industry
can you get discounted air transportation, hotel rooms, cruises and
other travel arrangements and even get to enjoy your every day work?
