What is SMARTHINKING?

SMARTHINKING is the leading provider of online tutoring, giving students access to academic support and independent study resources 24 hours a day, seven days a week. ACC provides currently enrolled students with 15 hours of free access to SMARTHINKING tutoring services.

Students can:

• Drop in and work with an e-structor immediately during live tutoring hours, or schedule a session with a specific tutor;

• Submit a question and get a response, usually within 24 hours (guaranteed within 72 hours);

• Use the Brainstorming Center to assist with ideas for papers;

• Submit a paper to the Online Writing Lab (OWL) to be critiqued and returned to the student usually within 24 hours (guaranteed within 72 hours);

• Submit a draft of an essay written in Spanish, and receive criticism and feedback from a qualified Spanish e-structor within 72 hours;

• Access a full range of study resources including sample problems, diagnostic tests, study skills, writing manuals, and a Grammar Center for quick reference to questions.

How do I access SMARTHINKING?

Interested students should contact the Learning Lab for the account Username/Password and login instructions. Please note: Students must provide their full name, as it appears on file with the ACC Admissions & Records Office, and their 7-digit ACC ID number to receive the SMARTHINKING Username/Password.
