“I did not want to do a sappy, sugar coated piece. I wanted to show something that was empowering. I did not want to just sit back and watch things happen. I wanted to be able to defend myself through this poster. So I came up with the idea that if I am able to cut off the terrorism I would essentially stop it. The bomb symbolizes terrorism, the lit fuse is all who partake in the evil acts and the scissors represents those who are willing to take a proactive role in fighting terrorism.”
