35th Student Art Exhibition

ACC's 35th Annual Student Art Exhibition is currently on display at the Dougherty Art Center. Many works created by Welding Department students were honored with inclusion in the show and several received awards, including Best in Show for Valerie Chaussonet's Japanese Double Date.

Former ACC Welding student Mark Ford makes the cover of World of Rods magazine for article about the 1931 Model A Ford that he revived.

 

 

Showdown at AMA

-As part of the 2010 East Austin Studio Tour, the Austin Metal Authority hosted their first annual Metalsmithing Competition. Third place went to former ACC student Colin McIntyre, Second place to former ACC student and current ACC professor Haley Woodward, and First place went to former ACC student Colby Brinkman. Also inspiring onlookers with their displays of skill were ACC professors William Bastas, Todd Campbell, Troy DeFrates, and many current and former ACC students.
