On Friday of week fifteen, all Writing Skills II and Writing Skills III students who did not pass Exit Essay 1 are required to attend Exit Essay 2. Students will be given three hours to write a four-paragraph persuasive essay that will be graded by the writing faculty. Students may test at any campus listed below.

Students who need testing accommodations or have a class on Friday during the nine to noon exam time MUST request their accommodation or alternate test date in writing two weeks prior to the test date. The written request should be sent to the coordinator located at the campus the student is currently taking developmental writing. See the list of coordinators below.

Two writing instructors will score each essay. Week sixteen of the semester, instructors will provide students with two score reports for their essay, and instructors will hold student conferences to discuss the test results; however, instructors must return the essays to the department where they will remain on file for one semester.

A course grade of "F" will be assigned to any student who does not complete the required testing.
