Resources & Education

ACC takes great pride in facilitating events and presentations that support and empower students, employees, and community members who have been impacted by sex or gender-based discrimination or harassment.

Office of Equal Opportunity Compliance has published an Information You Can Use flyer for students. This flyer includes some strategies to reduce one’s risk of sexual assault but in no way is intended to blame victims, and recognize that only abusers are responsible for the abuse they perpetrate.

Click to watch the 2021 Take Back the Night keynote address by Adrienne OKeefe with the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI). More information can be found on the SAKI website. Confidential counseling is available for students can be scheduled www.austincc.edu/counseling. Employees can access short-term counseling or crisis intervention services through the Employee Assistance Program.
