IMPORTANT: Starting Fall 2019, the Pre-Engineering Institute and the Engineering Technology Institute will combine to become the Technician/Pre-Engineering (TPE) Institute.

The Electronic and Advanced Technologies Institute is a community-learning environment that lets you progress with a group of colleagues taking the same predefined set of courses. You’ll learn about electronics and how they’re used in nearly every area of our world. If you like to take things apart, or just want to know how things work, the Electronics and Advanced Technologies Institute is a great place to start your career education.

What Will You Study?

As a student in this institute, you’ll work toward an Associate of Applied Science in Electronics and Advanced Technology with specialization in automation, robotics and controls. Classes will cover electronics, arts and humanities, and all areas of high-tech manufacturing. You’ll learn to install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment used in virtually every manufacturing industry.

What is the Electronics and Advanced Technologies Institute?

The Electronics and Advanced Technologies Institute is a Cohort style learning community.   You will be placed in a block schedule that will define your path for each semester. No more wondering which classes will make or how you will get from one campus to another.

The EAT Institute will be held at the Round Rock campus.  Here are some of the details:

Enrollment Steps

Complete the following steps to enroll in the Engineering Technology Institute. Note: Admission to the college does not guarantee admission to an ACC institute.

  1. Complete the ACC Application.
  2. Complete the online Engineering Technology Institute Interest Form.
  3. Receive notification of your acceptance.
  4. Register for classes with institute assistance
  5. Meet with your advisor at least once a month to review progress.
