IMPORTANT: Starting Fall 2019, the Pre-Engineering Institute and the Engineering Technology Institute will combine to become the Technician/Pre-Engineering (TPE) Institute.
As technology changes the world, high-tech skills can help you find a career you’ll love. The Electronic and Advanced Technologies Institute is a community-learning environment that lets you progress with a group of colleagues taking the same predefined set of courses. You’ll learn about electronics and how they’re used in nearly every area of our world. If you like to take things apart, or just want to know how things work, the Electronics and Advanced Technologies Institute is a great place to start your career education.
As a student in this institute, you’ll work toward an Associate of Applied Science in Electronics and Advanced Technology with specialization in automation, robotics and controls. Classes will cover electronics, arts and humanities, and all areas of high-tech manufacturing. You’ll learn to install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment used in virtually every manufacturing industry.
The Electronics and Advanced Technologies Institute is a Cohort style learning community. You will be placed in a block schedule that will define your path for each semester. No more wondering which classes will make or how you will get from one campus to another.
The EAT Institute will be held at the Round Rock campus. Here are some of the details:
