Manufacturing is a $12.5 billion industry, and there are tons of jobs right here in Central Texas. You can get the high-tech skills you need to build everything from microchips to rockets at Austin Community College. ACC’s Advanced Manufacturing Program features industry partnerships with local employers like Samsung Semiconductor, Applied Materials, and Tesla. In our state-of-the-art classrooms, you’ll get hands-on training in computer-aided design, production processes, quality control, electronics, and more.

ACC Impact Lab Manufacturing Discussion with Gina Raimondo, U.S. Secretary of Commerce

Austin Community College hosted Secretary Gina Raimondo of the U.S. Department of Commerce for a special tour and roundtable discussion at ACC Highland Campus. Raimondo toured the college’s advanced manufacturing facilities, sat down with ACC Chancellor Richard Rhodes, Austin Mayor Kirk Watson, the interim CEO of the Austin Chamber of Commerce, industry leaders in the manufacturing sector of Austin, and an ACC manufacturing student to discuss the fast-growing industry and how ACC and employers are working together to build a highly-skilled workforce.
