With ACC’s affordable tuition, you can save money on your teaching degree and be well prepared to transfer to a four-year university. Or, enter our accelerated program and earn your certification in one year.
What does the education program at ACC look like? Instruction covers classroom management, child development, exercise science, and health.
ACC offers early childhood education certificates and associate degrees that prepare students to work with pre-schoolers and elementary to high school students. These certificates and degrees prepare you for getting your bachelor’s degree and certification to teach in Texas.
Earn an associate’s degree at your own pace by “stacking” certificates. Many of these credits apply to a two-year degree, so a certificate can be your foundation for your career.
ACC’s partnership with Texas Tech University, TechTeach Across Texas, lets students who already have their associate’s degree get their bachelor’s degree and teaching credentials in one year. This accelerated program lets you get into the classroom and start earning a salary faster, with hands-on experience and certification readiness.
Whether you plan to transfer to a four-year school or are eager to move into the workforce with teaching credentials in hand, your degree from ACC will prepare you for a rewarding career. Start your journey today and explore programs and pathways at ACC.
ACC is home to the Children’s Lab School. This full-day, year round early childhood program serves as a demonstration school for the ACC Child Care and Development Department and other ACC departments as well as the local community.
