Vocational Nursing

Austin Community College’s Vocational Nursing Program provides the training you need to pass the National Council Licensure Examination of Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) and pursue a rewarding career in nursing. As a vocational nurse, you’ll provide essential, life-enhancing care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Graduates of ACC’s Vocational Nursing Program typically go on to work in hospitals, long-term care centers, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.

Program Accreditation

The Associate Degree Nursing Program and the Vocational Nursing Program are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 500, Atlanta, GA 30326, http://www.acenursing.org) and approved by the Texas Board of Nursing (333 Guadalupe St., Suite 3-460, Austin, TX, 512-305-7400; www.bon.state.tx.us).
