Information Technology Academy

Get on the fast track to a fulfilling high-tech career in ACC’s Information Technology Academy. We work with more than 100 IT employers to help students meet the needs of the local IT industry. An ACC certificate allows you to immediately enter the lucrative information technology field with the option to continue your studies toward a variety of certificates and degrees offered by ACC’s Computer Information and Computer Studies Area of Study.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be a high school junior at the start of the program.
  • Complete a high school introductory IT course with at a minimum grade of B.
  • Be TSI complete in reading and writing.
  • Be TSI complete in math by December 15 of your first semester if you intend to pursue the Web Developer Specialist certificate.
  • Complete the online IT Academy application.

Program Requirements

  • Earn at least a C in each ACC course.
  • Maintain an overall ACC grade point average of 2.50 or higher.

Time commitment

  • 4+ semesters

  • User and Computer Support
  • Web Developer Specialist
