Distance Learning classes at ACC require that the student attend orientation at the beginning of the semester. I require orientation for classroom sections in addition to Distance Learning sections.

Online orientation

All orientation for this class is provided online. If you have completed these online orientation procedures and still need personal orientation, please visit with or call me during my regular office hours.

To accomplish online orientation, you will need to access, read, and make certain that you understand the material at the following links:

Confirm orientation via email

Then send an email message to Baldwin@DickBaldwin.com stating explicitly that you have read, understand, and will comply with the information and instructions provided by those documents.

Make the subject line of your email message read as follows:

LastName, FirstName, INEW2338, online orientation complete

Your email address

If you follow these instructions carefully, the format of the Subject line of your email message will serve three different purposes.

Regarding the second requirement, many of you have email addresses that do not include your last name.  Even if your email address does include your last name, there is often something ahead of your last name.  Therefore, an alphabetical listing of email addresses is useless when I need to locate your email address.

If you cause the Subject line of your orientation confirmation message to comply with the above instructions, I can sort the messages by the subject line and find your email address on the basis of your last name.  If you don't do this, don't expect me to send email messages to you with important information such as your performance on tests and assignments.

Miscellaneous information

Please also include your name, work telephone, and home telephone in the body of the email message.
