The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a high-level test of analytical ability that requires the solution of problems stated as analogies. The test measures your ability to recognize relationships between ideas, your fluency in the English language, and your general knowledge of the humanities, natural sciences, mathematics, and social sciences. The test is 60 minutes long, and you will receive a score report printout at the end of the exam.
ACC offers the MAT Monday through Friday between 10:30 am and 3:00 pm by appointment. To make an appointment to take the MAT go to https://www.registerblast.com/austincc/exam to schedule your exam. Appointments are limited, so please register early.
The MAT test is $95 which must be paid in full when you register. The fee can be paid online by visiting Market Place or selecting https://www.registerblast.com/austincc/exam to schedule and pay. To schedule in person please go to the Business Assessment & Testing Services, ACC Highland Campus, Room 2221. The test fee is non-refundable. If you are late, absent, or reschedule on the same day of your test, you must pay a $15 fee to obtain a new appointment. All fees paid to ACC Business Testing are Non-Refundable.
You must present two forms of identification to take the test. The primary ID must be a government-issued photo ID such as a: State issued driver's license, State-issued identification card, Military identification, Passport, Government (national or foreign) identification that shows name, address, date of birth, photograph, and signature.
The secondary ID must have a photo or signature such as a: Student ID, Social Security Card, Signed Credit Card or Employee ID.
Important: You must have paid the $95 MAT FEE before attempting to schedule a Proctor exam. Have your Receipt number/ Order number available when scheduling.

We provide paper and writing utensils. Students cannot bring cell phones, food, drink, pagers, PDAs, any wireless communication devices, digital watches, alarm watches, any device that can take photographs or video, calculators, radios, tote bags, textbooks, note books, coats, hats (unless worn as a religious requirement), hand-held electronic games, or other nonessential items. If you are subject to getting cold during long periods of seating you can bring a sweater but you must be prepared to keep it on for the duration of the exam.
