ACC Highland Phase 2 adds flexible, advanced facilities for the cutting-edge, career-technical education and hands-on experience needed for today’s jobs. Totaling 415,000 square feet, phase 2 comprises the college’s IMPACT Lab — an advanced manufacturing incubator, a health sciences simulation center, multimedia art gallery, and culinary arts center with a restaurant operated by ACC faculty, staff, and students. It also includes state-of-the-art facilities for more than a dozen ACC programs, including: Computer Science and Information Technology, Game Development, Music Business Performance Technology, Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design, Radio/Television/Film, and Visual Communication. Registration is happening now for classes that begin spring 2021.
The Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design program provides technologically advanced workforce education and training leading to certificates and degrees in the fields of technical graphics and computer aided design (CAD). At Highland, students get access to advanced equipment and labs.

The Culinary Arts program brings cutting-edge training kitchens to the classroom. Led by a faculty of expert chefs, students learn advanced culinary skills, receive employer‐preferred training in sanitation, costs, and budgeting, and have access to the college’s newest student-run restaurant — Eatery 73.

This program blends music theory and appreciation with private instruction to help take your art to the next level. Upon completion, you’ll be prepared to transfer to a four-year college or conservatory.
Learn to create compelling media by studying radio-television-film at Austin Community College. ACC’s in-house production studio offers opportunities for hands-on experience, and coursework covers screen storytelling, creative digital production, and more. The program is led by experts in the field, and RTF credits transfer to four-year universities like UT and Texas State.
ACC adopted a LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Silver standard for all new construction and major renovation projects. Through ACC’s recent growth, the LEED principles have enabled the district to save energy and water while providing a safe and healthy learning environment for our students, staff, and faculty.
ACC's IMPACT Lab is a manufacturing incubator for Central Texas. The lab fosters connections between manufacturers, students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and investors to ensure the region’s manufacturing industry continues to grow, lead, and reduce the cost and barriers to entry for physical product innovation.
Eatery 73 is ACC's newest student-run restaurant. Culinary Arts students create, prepare, and serve customized menus for a casual dining experience open to the community. Service is expected to begin in fall 2021.
