Your ACCmail account automatically reflects the name on your ACC record:
You can change the name that appears on your ACCmail in one of two ways.
You have the option to request an email nickname if your formal name is not the name you normally use (i.e. if you go by your middle name, etc.). Your nickname will be displayed between your official first name and last name before your current ACCmail address. Allow one business day after submitting a request.
Before requesting the ACCmail name change, you must first change your name on official college records. Submit the appropriate form below:
If you have legally changed your name for marriage, adoption, or other reasons (i.e. spelling correction), you may change your official ACCmail address username AFTER the name change is reflected in your Austin Community College record.
IMPORTANT: Changing your ACCmail address username may cause service interruption and/or data loss in non-ACCmail services that you access using your ACCmail account login credentials (i.e. MySL, Groupon, and others). Read more information about access, continuous mail delivery, Drive documents, etc.
