HOW TO UPDATE YOUR BLACKBOARD ACCOUNT

While much of the interaction in the course happens on a Discussion Board, we will also communicate by email. You need an individual account, which is not shared with anyone else.

The list of enrolled students will be uploaded to Blackboard just before the beginning of the semester.

If you add after the first class day, please allow a day or so after you add for that information to be uploaded to the Blackboard website. There is information in the orientation materials about the first week of the course. Work through those.

  • Go to the Blackboard software on the web. Login.
  • When you login, your user name and password are BOTH your Student ID number. They tell you it is a 7-digit ID number. I believe that a 6-digit ID number is printed on your fee receipt. To make that into your 7-digit ID number, put a 0 in front. If you can't figure out your ID number, email me after the semester begins. I'll tell you what I can find on the class roll, but I won't have that until after the semester begins.
  • Immediately go to the "Personal Information" and enter your email address. BE SURE to enter your email address correctly. Then change your password to something that only you will know. If you forget your password and ask to be reminded, it will email it to the address you have entered here.
  • Look under your course list and choose International E-Commerce Systems IBUS 1349 and look through the information for this course.

If you have used Blackboard in some previous course at ACC, probably your name and personal information are already in the system. So just log into the system in the same way you had always done. You won't see this course in your "List of Courses You're Taking" until the students are uploaded to the system a few days before class starts. You can't see the announcements for this course or anything about it until students are uploaded to the system.
