GRAVITY EXAMPLE 1

Consider three stars, labeled A, B, and C.  We have the following data:

      Mass of star A = 2 solar masses

      Mass of star B = 4 times the mass of star C

      Distance between A and B = 12 light years

      Distance between A and C = 3 light years

      Compare the gravitational force between A & B to the gravitational force between A & C.
