Share your expertise: Submit a workshop proposal for annual Learning Lab Conference by 12/7

Austin Community College (ACC) invites faculty and staff to share their expertise or research for the annual Learning Lab Tutoring Conference.

Tutoring and Beyond: Paving the Way for Student Persistence will be held Friday, February 22, at Eastview Campus. Presentation proposals are requested by Friday, December 7. Topics include technology and tutoring, new programs and initiatives at ACC, best practices for student retention and success, and content-based knowledge for tutors.

“Tutors will get the opportunity to learn more about the college and network through different campuses,” says Jeffery Harris, Hays Campus Learning Lab manager. “This conference is a valuable opportunity for faculty and staff to share best practices and insights with the hundreds of tutors and support staff who work in the Learning Labs so that our students get the most out of their tutoring sessions.”

The event includes multimedia presentations, breakout sessions, and roundtable discussions. Presenters may choose their preferred format.
