FY19 Global Issues Speaker Series info

Austin Community College (ACC) presents a discussion of global climate change as part of the college's 2019 Global Issues Speaker Series.

Hosted by ACC's International Programs, the presentation is Wednesday, March 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Eastview Campus, Room 8500 (3101 Webberville Rd.).

ACC Energy Conservation Manager and Government Adjunct Assistant Professor Dr. Caleb Crow will examine the scientific mechanisms of climate change and its effects around the world and in Texas.

"Climate change is affecting all of us right now, wherever we live, and talking about change is one of the best ways to get people thinking about our collective actions and potential solutions," says Dr. Crow. "We will discuss the mechanisms of climate change; local, state, federal, and international policy efforts to lessen the effects; and the opportunities for careers focusing on climate change mitigation and adaptation."

The event is free and open to the public.
