ACC job fair connects students with 1,000+ career opportunities

Austin Community College (ACC) invites ACC alumni, students, and other job seekers to a job fair and career exploration event Friday, April 5, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Highland Campus ACCelerator (6101 Highland Campus Dr.).

“Sometimes all it takes is conversation to get a foot in the door. Fairs like this help connect our community with those opportunities,” says Dr. Virginia Fraire, ACC Student Affairs vice president. “ACC works collaboratively to bring industry partners on campus so that students can meet with them directly and learn about those highly sought-after careers.”

More than 130 employers will be on site representing more than 1,000 job and internship opportunities. Participants are encouraged to bring copies of their résumé or portfolio and dress in business attire. A Linkedin headshot photo booth and free credit reports also will be available.

Representatives from all ten ACC Areas of Study will be available to answer questions and provide guidance on educational pathways.

Leading up to the event, ACC hosts job fair preparation events at each campus. From April 1 through 5, students can get help preparing a résumé and creating an elevator speech. The events are free and open to all students. For more information, visit austincc.edu/careerevents.
