Austin Community College (ACC) invites faculty and staff to its inaugural Employee Wellness Fest 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 26, in the Eastview Campus Courtyard (3401 Webberville Road).
"We're celebrating the fifth year of the Employee Wellness Program at ACC. This event showcases how far the program has come over those years," says Mauri Winters, ACC Benefits Program coordinator. "The Wellness Program has helped hundreds of employees improve their health, well-being, and quality of life."
The event includes field day games, campus challenges, exercise demos, community vendors, and other team activities to allow employees to connect with their peers and de-stress.
Register online in advance or sign up at Wellness Fest to participate. Athletic wear and tennis shoes are recommended.
Established by the Human Resources Office in August 2013, ACC's Employee Wellness Program includes exercise and fitness classes and programs on healthy eating, diabetes education, meditation, and more. The program encourages employees to be active by using the stairs and taking advantage of campus walking trails. ACC's Wellness Program was recognized by the Austin Mayor's Health & Fitness Council and is available to all full-time and part-time staff and faculty.
