ACC offers two new scholarships for Certified Information System Security Professional

Applications are now open for two new scholarships for students who want to start a career in cybersecurity.

The new Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) scholarship, offered in partnership with (ISC)² Chapters, will help cover the cost for ACC’s fast-track certification program.

In an increasingly virtual world, the need for Cybersecurity employees is growing. CISSP remains one of the top certifications in the highest demand in Central Texas, at No. 16 in December according to the Austin Chamber of Commerce. It is also estimated that the U.S. cybersecurity workforce would need to increase by 62 percent, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

ACC’s CISSP fast-track program trains students to design, develop, implement, and manage cybersecurity programs in as little as 56 hours. The deadline to apply for the new scholarship is Monday, February 14.
