Career Pathways Certificate Programs

Short-term programs for long-term opportunities

ACC offers free classes to help adult learners earn a certificate in select high-demand fields. Classes typically meet for two to three months at locations around Austin. Start and end times vary; see class dates and times below.

Who can enroll

Career Pathways free certificate programs are offered to students in ACC’s high school equivalency (HSE) classes, English as a Second Language (ESL) Level 4 students, and adults with other education barriers. Eligibility to work in the United States, is required for some programs.

Fall 2019 : Registration will open October 1st.

 Office Clerk

Prerequisite: Computer Basics or equivalent skills. This intermediate level course covers a variety of computer skills required in office work. Earn your G Suite Certification and gain confidence in your Google applications, web browsing and communication skills.

Workforce Solutions

Entrepreneur for Women (in English) or

Mujeres Emprendedoras

Identify a project that is meaningful to you and develop it into a business. Students will learn: Public speaking, the importance of Body Language, budget planning, website design, how to make a business plan, and much more. The Term 1 class will be in Spanish only, click Mujeres Emprendedoras for more information.

Manufacturing Production 

The Certified Production Technician (CPT) program is an industry recognized program that provides instruction on the core competencies of manufacturing production in order to raise the level of performance of entry-level production workers. The CPT certification will assist the individuals in finding higher-wage jobs by demonstrating to employers that they have foundational skills needed in manufacturing which would support a company's productivity and competitiveness.
