How to manually connect to the ACC Wireless network using Mac OSX

  1. Before you begin the installation, please ensure your Wireless is enabled. Click on the Wireless icon at the top of the screen and select “ACC Start Here”

  3. Once is connects successfully, go you’re your web browser like Safari, Chrome or Firefox and open it up. On the address bar, type in the following address, http://svccp.austincc.edu. Once there, please read the “Terms and Conditions” and once completed, check the box “I agree to the Terms & Conditions” and click on “Next”.

  4. Click on “ACC Users”

  5. Please input your ACCeID and Password and click “Continue”.

  7. Click on the link “Show all operating systems”.

  9. Click to download “Step 1: Install the CA Certificate” and “Step 2: Install Your Certificate”. Keep this window open as you will need it later in step 13.

  10. Go to the Download folder location and click to install the Certificate. It will then request you to confirm the action to add it to the “Login Keychain for the Current Users”, click on “Add”.

  11. Go back to the Download folder location and click to install the Personal Certificate. It will then request you to confirm the action to add it to the “Keychain”, click on “Add”.

  12. Please enter your ACCeID password and click “OK”.

  13. Once installed, go back to the Wireless icon and now manually connect to “ACC-Secure”.

  14. You will need get the following dialog box. You will need to change the following: -

    1. Mode: Change to EAP-TLS

    2. Identity: Use the drop down box to get the username with “@ACCstudent.austincc.edu”

    3. Password: From Step 8, copy the password in Step 3: Configure the WiFi, under username.

  16. The next few boxes will ask you to confirm the operation by asking you for your Mac Administrator password. Please input it in the following boxes.

This completes the setup and you are now on ACC-Secure Wireless network.
