HealthSelectSM Summer Enrollment for Plan Year 2023 begins on June 27 for ACC employees. During this open enrollment period, you will have an opportunity to enroll in new benefits programs or change current coverage for yourself and your eligible dependents. Any changes you make go into effect September 1, 2022. If you do not make changes at this time, you will NOT be able to make any changes to your benefits plan until the next open enrollment period (next year) or if you experience a Qualifying life Event (https://ers.texas.gov/active-employees/Life-Changes).
If you are currently enrolled in a HealthSelect plan, and you don’t want to make changes to your medical plan, you do not need to do anything. Your current HealthSelect coverage will continue.
The ERS Summer Enrollment Page will be updated with new information as it becomes available about all of the insurance plans and what will change in FY2023. ERS has announced that, in addition to their traditional in-person Summer Enrollment fairs—back after two years! —They will again offer online Q&A webinars about Plan Year 2023 benefits. Employees are welcome to participate in any meetings they wish but may need to register in advance to receive a link for each specific meeting.
HR Benefits staff will also be hosting some virtual Q&A sessions during our open enrollment period (June 27 - July 9) to assist employees with their general questions and help them in making online changes. Dates and Times are listed below:

ERS Emails Confirmation of Changes
If you make any changes to your ERS benefits during Summer Enrollment, ERS will email you a confirmation statement that lists all of the changes. In some cases ERS will send the confirmation by mail. Email confirmations are sent on the same day that the changes are entered in ERS OnLine. Please review your Summer Enrollment confirmation statement carefully to be sure that it reflects the benefit changes you intended to make. If you find a mistake, contact ERS at 877-275-4377.
Important Reminder: If you need to make a Family Status Change or Post Hire Change during the months of July and August, you will need to complete this change form and send it to the ACC HR Benefits office or call ERS customer service at 877-275-4377. During Summer Enrollment, ERS does not allow employees to go online and make these types of changes.
