The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is an integral component of the reaffirmation of accreditation process and is derived from an institution’s ongoing comprehensive planning and evaluation processes. It reflects and affirms a commitment to enhance overall institutional quality and effectiveness by focusing on an issue the institution considers important to improving student learning outcomes and/or student success.
Message to the ACC Community from the Provost, Dr. Charles Cook:
As you heard during my presentation at General Assembly, the college is beginning the process of developing our QEP. The first step is to organize a topic selection committee.
We are currently working on the Academic Master Plan (AMP), which is utilizing a wide range of voices from across the college. The results of the AMP, along with other ongoing planning efforts, will inform the QEP selection process. We will once again want a diverse set of perspectives to aid in this work.
We need faculty and student affairs representatives from across the college to serve in this important role. I encourage you to consider participating in this vital project to improve student success.

QEP Topic Selection Committee, 2020-2021:
This committee is charged to select a topic or topics for ACC’s QEP (Quality Enhancement Plan) as part of the 2023 SACSCOC (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges) decennial reaffirmation.
The committee makes recommendations for a topic or topics to the College’s Executive Leadership Team for review and approval.
The membership will consist of a broad base of stakeholders from across the college to ensure diverse viewpoints are consulted.
The topic must lead to a project aimed at improving student learning outcomes and/or student success.
The topic must arise from ACC’s ongoing planning and evaluation processes.
This committee will engage in research, data collection, an environmental scan, and - using this information - will develop a plan that can support ACC students’ learning and success.
