MINUTES

Introductions / Announcements: 

• The new department chair of Education is Dorothy Martinez
• NADE 2006 is Feb 15 - 18 2006 -- see website for more info
• CASP/CLRA is in Austin, Texas in October -- Developmental Communications faculty are asked to submit proposals.

Reports:

• Mary Leonard reported on the budget and textbooks.
• The hourly funds need to be monitored carefully to ensure funds through the end of August.
• Assessment and Advising reported on the procedures for level changes for students. 
• Reading and Writing reported on their meetings. 
• SASC (white paper) discussed the recommendations for additions from the committee.  Edit white paper.

THECB Documents:  Faculty were asked to read the documents from the THECB and to review the Data Profile for the state of Texas and ACC.  Faculty received the documents at the meeting.  Read and review THECB documents.

Future Task Force meetings:  A meeting was set for April 21, 2006 at 1:00 pm at NRG
