Summer Schedule: Please review the summer
schedule and send changes to Dolores immediately. Select your summer
classes and advise Dolores Segura by Nov. 15, 2006 so changes and faculty names
can be entered.
Reports:
- Assessment and Advising: See Caryn Newburger's
report
- Sibyl Noack reported that the new co-chairs of the
Sentinel Network are Mary Leonard and Sibyl Noack. Add your name to receive
information about new developments in Developmental Education from the
Sentinel Network. Read the report from Gail Platt on the latest
developments in Developmental Education.
- Mary Leonard reported on the budget and advised that
we need to watch the hourly budget carefully in order to have money for the
summer. This is due to the fact that hourly wages continue to go up,
but the hourly budgets do not.
Updates:
- Julie Wauchope and Caryn Newburger reported on the
activities for reading and writing. Reading faculty are exploring the
possibility of having a guest speaker from CASP at the January meeting.
Caryn explained that the writing faculty are continuing to monitor the
entrance scores and exit scores.
- SASC asked that we review the challenges and
recommendations and rewrite them to reflect more accurately what our
challenges are at this time. They have also asked for other changes --
see Deanna's report sent by e-mail by Dolores Segura.
- We will make add links requested and add the
information requested but we are not changing the challenges and
recommendations at this time.
- Add awards and links to the white paper
