BUSI 1301 Business Principles

This class meets in the classroom at the date and time listed on the course schedule, but attendance is not required.  Recorded videos will be available on Blackboard.  Exams will be taken online using Blackboard (no webcam needed).  The purpose of this course is to provide a broad understanding of the contemporary business environment.  Topics to be covered include Management, Entrepreneurship, Small Business, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Human Resource Management, Risk Management, Business Law and other topics.  You must complete the Orientation Assignment during the first week of class that will be available on Blackboard.  For additional course information, contact the instructor at dandew@austincc.edu.

BMGT 1371 Sustainable/Green Business: Principles, Practices, Opportunities

Course instruction is online.  Recorded videos will be available on Blackboard for each chapter.   Exams will be taken online using Lockdown Browser (no webcam needed).  The purpose of this course is to provide an understanding of how Sustainable Business Practices can increase profits while using concepts from Corporate Social Responsibility and more. Sustainable/Green Business: Principles, Practices, Opportunities is a study of sustainability and its implications for business.  The course will stress how businesses can save energy and water, reduce waste, embrace lean manufacturing, reduce risk, and save money at the same time.  Students will learn some visionary companies are realizing the advantages of including environmental management in their strategies.  You will be able to pursue your own interests via a project of your choice.  No prerequisites.  You must complete the Orientation Assignment during the first week of class which will be available on Blackboard.  For additional course information, contact the instructor at dandew@austincc.edu.
 
 

BMGT 2488 Internship - Business Administration and Management, General I

Please email your ACC eid and declared major for clearance.  To be eligible for the internship course you will need to have completed 50% of your Associates Degree or Certificate.  Our internship courses are designated for Management; International Business; or Logistics & Supply Chain Management students ONLY.   Attendance is mandatory for the virtual meeting held on Friday, August 30 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. for all enrolled students seeking an internship position (details on this meeting will be sent when you register).
