An All-Inclusive Scholarship Program

Austin Community College’s Career Scholars Program offers a unique opportunity for busy adults who need to consider a work-life-college balance. This all-inclusive scholarship provides full financial and academic support while you complete the career training that leads to a bright future for you and your family. 

Available Career Paths

The Career Scholars Program for adults is open to adult learners interested in the following career areas, which have strong hiring and salary opportunities:

  • Accounting/Bookkeeping
  • Computer Information Technology
  • Health Sciences 
  • Culinary Arts
  • Design, Manufacturing, Construction & Applied Technologies

How It Works

This particular scholarship program is flexible to accommodate your busy schedule. You may attend ACC part time or full time, depending on your work and family life. We will cover your tuition and fees — a $5,000 value — while you’re attending ACC. You’ll also receive hands-on support from faculty, academic advisors, and career services professionals.

How to Apply

Step 1: Meet the eligibility requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Have a GPA of at least 2.5, if any ACC classes have been taken.
  • Enroll in at least 8 credit hours at ACC per semester (fall and spring).
  • Major in one of the designated career areas:
    • Accounting/Bookkeeping
    • Computer Sciences
    • Health Care
    • Manufacturing
    • Applied Tech/Skilled Trades
    • Fire & Police
    • UX Design
