IMPORTANT DISCLAIMERS
Paying for Classes with Financial Aid
Financial aid can be used to help secure your courses. If your financial aid is not enough to cover your balance, there are also payment options available. Learn more at austincc.edu/tuition (see “Payment Options” > “Financial Aid”).
NOTE: Failure to accept aid may cause you to be dropped from your classes for non-payment of tuition and fees.
Financial Aid Adjustments
Financial aid awards are subject to change based on your enrollment (i.e. course selection, number of classes, etc.). For example, students are initially offered financial aid based on full-time enrollment, so your awards may be reduced if you enroll less than full-time. Please see “Refunds & Disbursements” for more information about financial aid adjustments based on enrollment.
NOTE: Only classes on your declared degree plan are eligible for financial aid, so this may also cause financial aid adjustments. Please see "Eligibility" for more details.
Student Loans
To receive student loans, you must complete entrance counseling and a Master Promissory Note (MPN). For assistance, follow these instructions. Allow up to three business days for ACC to record your completion of the entrance counseling and MPN.
If you followed the steps above, you should begin receiving funds at the start of your semester. ACC directly pays your tuition and fees from your financial aid award; refunds are processed the following week.
ACC partners with BankMobile to deliver your refund. It is important to choose a refund delivery preference whether or not you expect a refund.
Set up your BankMobile account.
Payment Notice: If the amount of your accepted financial aid award is not enough to cover your outstanding tuition and fees, you will need to pay the difference on Self-Service or set up a payment plan by the tuition deadline. Contact the Financial Aid Office at 512-223-4636 to set up a no money down payment plan by using your aid as the first payment. Learn more at austincc.edu/tuition.
ACC routinely checks financial aid applications for information verification. If additional documents are required to process your financial aid application, we will contact you by ACCmail and on Self-Service Financial Aid. Please ONLY submit documents if they are requested by the Financial Aid Office. If you have questions along the way, contact us at 512-223-4636.
Students can submit and upload required financial aid documents online. Visit Self-Service to review your missing documents and submit required information.
NOTE: You will be directed to ACC’s StudentForms portal after accessing your information in Self-Service. If this is your first time visiting StudentForms, you will need to create an account. The information you enter to create your account must match what you put on your FAFSA. Learn more at austincc.edu/faforms.
