Pre-Celebration Countdown begins at 10 a.m.
Virtual Celebration launches at 11 a.m.
(Available until June 5, 2021)
You are among nearly 3,000 associate degree and certificate earners this spring. Austin Community College wants to celebrate your achievements. In addition to inviting all graduates to walk at the fall 2020 commencement ceremony, ACC invites you to join your classmates and ACC faculty and staff for a virtual commencement celebration on Saturday, June 6, 2020.
You are an exceptional class, and this experience will be one of many that will shape you throughout your life. Continue to pursue your dreams with dedication and enthusiasm and lean on the friends and family who have always supported you. The effort, perseverance, and determination you have shown over the past weeks are truly inspiring. Remember, you will forever be a Riverbat.
It’s your day — celebrate it your way. Plan it, snap it, post it, and stay connected. Austin Community College created special ACC graduation filters and frames so you can personalize your pictures and let the world know you graduated.
The virtual celebration will include special videos and messages to our graduates, their families and friends, and the Austin Community. Pastor G. V. Clark of the Mt. Zion Baptist church will serve as our spring 2020 commencement speaker. We will also hear from ACC President/CEO, Dr. Richard Rhodes, Chair of the ACC Board of Trustees, Ms. Gigi Edwards Bryant, President of the ACC Student Government Association, Mr. Noble Udoh, and our spring 2020 Presidential Student Achievement Award recipient, Mr. Roosevelt Granderson, among other staff, faculty and community well-wishers.
As a key part of this year’s virtual celebration, ACC will provide every candidate with a personal graduation profile to celebrate their accomplishments. Your graduation profile can be customized with a photo, personal message, and your name read aloud just as it would be read during an in-person commencement ceremony. Your profile will be available to share on social media so others may congratulate you for your hard work and commitment and celebrate the Class of 2020!
