Tutoring helps you stay on track with your coursework, understand assignments, and improve your study skills. This service allows ACC students to meet with subject experts face-to-face or online for one-on-one or group assistance.
How long do I have to wait to schedule a tutoring session after I submit the online request form?
Scheduling is based on the availability of the tutor. Walk-in appointments are welcome both online and in-person as long as there is a tutor available at that time. You can also schedule appointments days or weeks in advance by looking at your tutor’s upcoming schedule.
How will the Tutor inform me of the date and time of my tutoring session?
You will receive a message from your tutor via your ACC email, either accepting or declining your tutoring request.
How long will the tutoring session last?
Session times last from 30 minutes to 1 hour based on the subject matter and tutor availability.
How do I request an interpreter for my tutoring session?

How much does it cost to receive tutoring?
Nothing! Online tutoring is completely FREE so take advantage of the various online resources offered.
Is there a limit to the number of tutoring sessions I can receive?
All appointments with ACC tutors are FREE for students currently enrolled in an ACC course. Appointments with an Upswing Coach are limited to five hours per semester.
What can I expect from my tutoring session?
Tutors can help you understand the concepts needed to complete your assignments, but they will not do your work for you. Please come prepared with specific questions and concepts you would like to review with your tutor.
