How does the Program work?

The Webmaster Certificate Program is a series of continuing education courses in website design, interaction design, development, and programming. Courses are offered in a classroom environment as well as online. This program brings together an outstanding faculty of industry professionals, flexible and diverse course offerings, powerful computing resources, affordable tuition, and career information to get you started as a webmaster.

Because "webmaster" refers to such a diverse set of skills, the ACC Webmaster Certificate Program defines two specialization tracks: Design and Programming. When you register for the Program, select one of these specializations (you may also complete both tracks to get a Certificate in each specialization).

How Much & How Long?

The ACC Webmaster Certificate Program consists of 8 required courses plus 3 required electives for a total of 200 to 240 hours. Classes vary from 12 hours to 24 hours long. The costs are far less than what you would pay for similar high quality courses in the private sector. There is no initial program registration fee; you pay for each class you take. Limited financial aid may be available for the courses in this program. See the current course schedule for upcoming Webmaster classes for details.

Most students take about a year to complete the program. However, it may take longer if certain courses are already filled when you attempt to register. The courses in the ACC Webmaster Program are held during days, in the evenings, and on weekends. All of the ACC Webmaster courses are offered several times per year— in most cases at least once every Fall, Spring, and Summer semester.
