Fall 2018 Information
Welcome, new students!
Here you will find links to all documents and materials you will need for your College Algebra Distance Learning Course. You will need to be sure to read and familiarize yourself with everything contained in these pages before getting started with the course.
Email: I will use your ACCmail address for all email communication. If you use a different email address, be sure to set up your ACCmail to forward to the address you use.
MyMathLab and Textbook: You must purchase MyMathLab access for this course, which comes with an etext. You do not need to purchase a printed copy of the textbook. If you want to get a printed copy of the textbook, here is the information: College Algebra with Modeling and Visualization; Books a la Carte Edition, 6th Edition Rockswold.
Make sure you're in the right course: Before you enroll in this course, you should decide whether a distance learning course is right for you and ensure that you have met the prerequisite for the course. Please read through the advising information found here.
Prerequisite Review and Pretest: Work through the prerequisite review before taking the Pretest. You must take the Pretest in MyMathLab by Friday, September 28 or you may be dropped from the course.
Orientation: Log in to Blackboard and complete the Orientation and Campus Carry Quiz. You must complete the Orientation and Campus Carry Quiz by Friday, September 28 or you may be dropped from the course.
ACC ID: You must have an ACC ID to take your exams in the Testing Center. You will need to visit an ACC campus to get your ACC ID.
By the end of the first week of classes, you need to complete all of the following:
*The MyMathLab course will be available for registration as of Tuesday, September 25.
